Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Where are you located?

Corrie Graybill Photography is located in downtown Edmond, Oklahoma at 130 N Broadway suite 272. It’s in the same building as Ellis Island Coffee and Hello Love Salon (how convenient for a quick hair appointment and coffee before your session!). There’s lots of restaurants and great shopping within walking distance!

2. What should the rest of the family wear?

While I do have outfits from ages newborn up through 2t, other family members will need to come prepared. You are welcome to view my dressing guide here. The biggest takeaway is to wear solid, neutral colors that you will be comfortable in. The studio will be very warm for newborn sessions (usually around 78 degrees).

3. How soon will I receive my photos?

We will have your ordering appointment right away! If time allows, we will schedule your appointment so that you can pick your pictures and package right after your session. If we are pressed for time, we will schedule it for soon afterwards. After you have selected your package, you can expect to receive your digital files and prints (mailed directly to your home) within 2 to 3 weeks.

Questions for newborn sessions

1. When should I book my newborn session?

The earlier the better. While we will wait to schedule the actual session until the baby has been born, there is limited space on my schedule. This is why I only plan for a few newborn sessions every month. Once you have pre-booked with a signed contract and deposit, you are guaranteed a sessions spot as soon as your baby has arrived.

2. My baby has already been born, is it too late to book my newborn session?

It might be, but please be sure to inquire to find out for sure! There sometimes is availability for last minute sessions. However, if your baby is older than 5 weeks (5 weeks past due date in the case of premature births), then a milestone session will be a better fit for your needs.

3. How soon after birth will we do the newborn session?

The best time for a newborn session is 5-14 days after birth. This is the “sweet spot” for when babies are most comfortable with being posed and are at their sleepiest. If they are between 2 and 5 weeks old we can still do the newborn session but we might have a harder time achieving poses, especially out of a swaddle.

4. What do I need to bring for my newborn session?

The most important thing you need for the newborn session is whatever you need to feed the baby. A full tummy will help your baby stay sleepy and comfortable. I have some baby essentials on hand such as a bottle warmer, extra wipes, and diapers. I provide all the baby’s outfits, props, and backdrops.

If you have something special you’d like to include in the photo, please feel free to bring it as long as it is safe to be around the baby (no weapons please). I can’t guarantee that we will be able to use it, but I am usually able to include it. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

I do not provide any clothing for adults or older children, so you will need to come prepared for that. We can do one wardrobe change if you’d like.

5. How should I prepare for my session?

I have a full preparation guide available here. You are welcome to contact me with any further questions. I look forward to our session together! You will treasure these pictures for years to come!

Questions for Milestone Sessions

  1. What all do I need to bring for my baby’s milestone session?

I have all the props, baby outfits (sizes up to 2t), backdrops, and even the cake covered! If you have something special you’d like included, feel free to bring it along. If you're concerned if it’ll work in the session, feel free to contact me with questions. If you are including other family members in the session, please be aware that I don't provide a wardrobe above size 2t.

2. I don't really want a cake with my first birthday session, is that okay?

Absolutely! I have done other creative options to help celebrate a first birthday session, such as glitter, balloons, bubbles, cheerios, or whatever you can imagine! Or, if you’d rather not include anything extra we can do it just like any other milestone session.

3. What ages are best for milestone sessions?

The ages that we usually try to photograph as part of a milestone package are 3 months, 6 months, 9 months, and 1 year. Is your baby in one of the in between ages? That’s okay! We can still do a session at any age! Every age is worth documenting.

4. Do you have package options for purchasing more than one session?

Yes! Please contact me about discounts when purchasing more than one session. You can bundle 2, 3, 4, or 5 sessions together for a package deal!
